Hold me tight

Dust dances on the window pane,
Your name lives on the folding chair.
My hands are empty — no warmth remains,
In silence’s grip, I’m waiting there.

The floor remembers every step you made,
The room holds the outline of you.
I trace the glass, it’s empty now,
As if I could bring that day back somehow.

Darkness leans in closer, mm…
Letting me breathe, just barely.
I hear your voice, so far away,
In every whisper, everywhere.

Hold me tight,
Hold me near,
(hold me tight)
Don’t let go.

Cold in my bones,
Warm beside you,
(warm beside you)
Hold me close.

The kettle’s cold on the stove, long cold,
Above it, mist like silver, bold.
I turn the broken handle, once again,
And hear the steps — it’s you, my love.

A song flows from the room next door,
On the wall — a crack, a line once more.
I step to the edge, so all alone,
I let it go — let everything fall.

Drift too far — pull me back,
Fade to gray — light me, love.
I’m still here, I’m still here —
With you, I’m alive, that’s enough.
