A Solitary Grace

From shadows deep and words that sting,
I guard my soul with quiet strength.
From burning fevers, winter chills,
I learn to breathe, I learn to heal.

Life whispers softly, wise and low:
Stay far from hearts that feed on harm.
They steal your light, distort your truth,
And plant their thorns inside your thoughts.

So let them fade like passing rain,
Let wisdom lead you far away.

My spirit’s precious,
Like a finely trembling string.
I choose the songs
That help my weary heart still sing.

Forget the whispers,
The venom and the empty noise.
Let music gently fill
The silent spaces of the soul.

Sometimes the stillness,
The quiet peace no words can reach,
Becomes the truest grace
This restless world could ever teach.

My guardian angel through the years
Still whispers softly in my ear:
Ignore the narrow minds that judge,
The bitter voices filled with fear.

Let them flutter, loud and hollow,
Like frightened birds against the storm.
Their echoes vanish in the distance,
While deeper strength keeps growing warm.

My spirit’s precious,
Like a finely trembling string.
I choose the songs
That help my weary heart still sing.

Forget the whispers,
The venom and the empty noise.
Let music gently fill
The silent spaces of the soul.

Sometimes the stillness,
The quiet peace no words can reach,
Becomes the truest grace
This restless world could ever teach.

A breath, a step,
A new horizon —
Sometimes that’s all I truly need.
The touch of spring upon my skin,
A quiet kind of faith to keep.

And though this world may wound the heart,
Its beauty still survives somehow,
If we refuse to let the darkness
Build a home inside us now.

So I will guard my inner light
With all the tenderness I know.
Through storms of sorrow,
Cruelty and noise,
I will not let it go.

The melody within me
Still trembles soft and true.
And in this solitary grace,
I finally return to you.
