A Mother s Dream

My Fair Russia was written first as a poem - a quiet, deeply personal vision born somewhere between memory, grief, hope and dream.

Later, the poem inspired the creation of a musical adaptation titled A Mother’s Dream. While the song preserves the emotional atmosphere and spiritual core of the original text, it transforms the poem into a more lyrical and cinematic form intended for music and voice.

Both works are connected by the same inner feeling: the search for light beyond loss, for peace beyond wandering, and for the invisible path that leads lost souls home.

"My Fair Russia"

In dreams, I saw fair Russia bright,
No smoke nor flame to mar her sight.
Her gaze, a sea of sapphire hue,
Looked on with love, so deep, so true.

A surge of feelings swept through me,
With clarity, they came to be:
Not merely whims that draw us home,
But exit from a deeper maze where lost souls did roam.

My son, who passed away, lost to the night,
Stirred suddenly with morning's light...
And trembled like a trembling aspen
In the scorching winds of fate’s cruel lesson.

My son, once lost beyond the night,
Awoke somehow in morning light.
He trembled like an aspen tree
Beneath fate’s burning winds so endlessly.

And a wave of feeling came to me,
So sharp, so deep, so suddenly:

The dream became a whispered prayer,
Of peace still waiting somewhere there.
And in that peace, a gentle hand
Would guide my child to promised land.
