I have offended, my beloved, to clear,
Not out of malice, but in a fit of temper blue;
Suddenly, all the scents have disappeared,
My blood no longer burns,
Forgive, my Sunshine, to be cheered,
For offending love, it hurts!

Again, I won't sleep all night with you,
At dawn, there's no one to whisper near,
To wish good morning to.
And suddenly, your breath has tromped,

As if an elephant, with a clumsy stomp,
Has trampled all our love, it's wrong!
