The Dopamine Game

She’s young and she’s breathtaking,
Her breath is the scent of a rose.
She wanders the world with a needle,
In a gown made of lush, dreaming prose.

Her eyes of a golden reflection
Are laughing at sorrow and pain.
Her beautiful, bountiful bosom
Will never know peace again.

And all her sensitive fingers
Are stabbed with a poisonous glee.
She always rises inside your throat –
A bone that won’t let you be free.
They call her love, they call her lust,
Sometimes – a sweet sensation.
But it’s all a lie, a lie, a rush –
Just playing the dopamine game!

She never will die, no, she won’t,
And she never was born to this light.
But everyone longs for her presence,
To lock her in dungeons of night.

Heavy bands of shimmering gold
Have bound her hands so tight.
But instead of the locks – just kisses,
And moans that fill the night.

Fragrant sweet mint
Reigns in her every part
But deep in her heart, the vipers drink
Her blood – and tear her apart!

They call her love, they call her lust,
Sometimes – a sweet sensation.
But it’s all a lie, a lie, a rush –
Just playing the dopamine game!
