Зашла я в "Зерна" магазин -
там книги посмотреть,
сияю я при виде книг,
улыбка до ушей.

вот таки сиянье изнутри
и доказало мне -
всего дороже для души
хвсе книги о Христе

и новомучениках за
Него - в двадцатый век!
а были ль с ними чудеса -
лечение калек,

явленья Света, сквозь огонь
и стены проходить?
не знаю я - но верю, что
легко их сотворить!

но то, что точно было там -
нетление мощей!
И твердость веры за Христа,
хоть твердым был еврей,

что возглавлял НКВД,
И душегубец И.Г.Берг.
Я не сияю так нигде,
как с книгой о Христе!

I went to Zerna - a bookstore -
to look at books on Christ,
I beamed at the sight of them all,
From ear to ear smile.

This radiance from within has proved
to me that for my soul
the most precious things are books
about Christ and churh.

And the new martyrs dead for Him -
the twentieth century!
Were there miracles with them -
Was God healing the crippled,

appearances of Light, and walks
through fire and the walls?
I believe - yes, though I don't know,
they're easy to perform!

But what was definitely there  -
the relics uncorrupt!
And firmness of their Christian faith,
though a Jew was tough,

who headed the NKVD,
the killer I.G. Berg.
I never shine as brightly as
with a book on Christ's faith!
