He looks around but no one’s there
He asks where is my wife?
She’s dead
But flowers here

And I bought her favourite milk

And sweets she loved so dearly

And learned the way to wash the dishes fast

And I prepared the movie she was kin to watch  together

And even our cat is taken care of

So where was I before that?
When she was strong and full of wishes
I was not here
When she danced and singed and cleaned

When she was reading books and giving them her time
I was not here
When she was called and smiled and smiled and smiled
I was not there
When she lost shine and voice, all hopes
I was not there
When she walked the streets and asked and pleaded

When she collapsed and changed and faltered
