Sundew

It’s snug in a hummock for spidey to sit,
Where grass blades are quietly breeding.
The Wood’s ABC to her spidey grandkid
In breeze noise the granny is reading.
Oh, lo! The cloudberries on bumps are in bloom.
Sit up and take heed... It’s a bunting.
And here, take a look, there is mead to consume
From sundew for silly bugs’ hunting.
The woods’ occupied by the gnats on cloud nine,
By dragonflies and bugs unknown.
And all kinds of these are invited to dine
By plant that for bugs is a foe.
The dew on the sundew’s fluff lures away,
But droplets are simply a snare.
Just lo! And a wasp in a dewdrop is prey,
A gnat and a fly are nailed there.
So, spidey, don’t rush for the dewfall to drink,
You’ll fail, kid, when twitching to mammy.
You‘ll get on the evil grass’ hook in a wink, –
The moisture is sticky and scammy.
The number of riddles and secrets is there.
Indeed, in the glade, where we’re running,
Their number is countless. Grow up, be aware,
And bear in mind sundew’s cunning.
