По количеству чудес, но - это правда во Христе!
И звезда зашла в утробу при зачатьи к его маме -
И предрек ей один старец: благодать сошла к тебе!

Мама пояс подарила золотой своему сыну,
Чтоб он стал потом военным, но явился ей во сне
Святой мученик Георгий, и сказал: не для войны он,
А послужит сын твой Богу! В десять лет он заболел,

И упали две росинки в храме с лика Иисуса
На него - он исцелился, после этого во снах
Часто стал Георгий снился, и водил его молиться
На ночь в храм. А дьявол в пропасть его прыгнуть искушал.

В день съедал одну просфору, юным был - уже целитель,
Стал священником в семнадцать, жил в пещере, мало ел.
Стал монах - в Хозевит-лавре, был и в Иерусалиме,
Сделал клетку очень узкой - и молился, стоя в ней,

И тяжелые вериги его подвиг укрепляли,
Лишь с Крещения до Пасхи он в пещеру уходил,

Волки и медведи ели с рук его, изгнал он бесов,
