На Матронушке блаженной
 с детства были знаки,
Родилась в семье крестянской,
В Туле, в Епифанском

Себино. Хотела мама
В силу бедной жизни
Девочку в приют отдать, но
Сон ей был о птице.

Птица села ей на руку
С ликом человечьим -
И не отдали приюту
Будущей блаженной.

При крещеньи столю поднялся
Дым благоуханный -
И связенник удивлялся
Знакам несказанным.

В среду, пятницу не ела -
Пост блюла младенцем,
На груди она имела -
Крест изображенный.

Иногда ее дразнили
Дети, издевались,
Били бедную крапивой
И в овраг сажали.

Она много предсказала,
чуяла опасность,
И ходить она не стала
Где-то лет в семнадцать.

Предсказала, что отнимет
Кто-то дар хожденья,
Но пошла на встречу эту
После причащенья.

Приносить она просила
Ивовые ветки,
Там жила, где приютили,
Видела сквозь веки.

Знала время с Крестным ходом,
 где стоят иконы,
Помогала и ученым
Защищать дипломы.

На "Взыскание погибших"
Собирала деньги,
И вернула тем, кто жилил
Рубль их и копейку.

Голос ласковый, как дети:
"Каждую овечку
Бог за хвостик свой подвесит -
Не судите встречных!"

Днем людей она лечила,
ночью же молилась,
Предсказала дату смерти
За три дня, почила.

Предсказала запустенье
На своей могиле,
А потом  - столпотворенья,
Помощь Божьей силы.

She asked for the willow branches
to be brought, and she lived
where they sheltered her, though eyelids
Were shut - she saw people.

She knew the time of procession
of the cross, where icons
stood, she also helped the scientists
To make dissertations.

She collected money for the
Icon "the Recovery
of the Lost," returned to mockers
a ruble, a kopeck.

Had a gentle voice: "God will hang
every lamb by its tail,
So do not judge those whom you meet!"
And she lokked like children.

Each day she was healing people,
at night she was praying,
The date of death she predicted
Three days, and passed away.

She predicted desolation
At her grave for some time,
And then - crowds of the nation,
The help of God's power.
