Easy now, little one, settle down and sleep,
You’ve worn us out with the promises you keep.
The day was bright, full of wonder and surprise,
Now let the quiet fill the night, and close your eyes.
Sleep, my dear, may your dreams be soft and kind,

An old-time melody, gentle and low,
Will carry you away where sweet dreams go.
I’m amazed by the fire that never seems to fade,
You chase every shadow, every light and shade.
