Strawberries

We ate strawberries on your bed,
The sheet blushed a bright red.
"What have you done, you brute! You scoundrel!"
"For now, I'm no longer a maiden."

"Me??? What sheer audacity!
You wanted something sweet yourself.
And besides, it was just a prank!
The one to blame... is that wretched Sheet!"

All WHITE, teasing, and so clean.
It tricked me, lured me in – a vile snake!
And it could have been COLORED,
then there would have been NOTHING!

"Well, it's fine – we'll wash and clean it.
Dip it in Ariel, or maybe in Tide.
You – the main thing – just throw away these thoughts,
Don't strain your Brain with illusions."

"And anyway, my beauty, my soul!
I still have raspberries.
Don't you get too down –
but rather get ready, and let's go. To the SHED!"

The moral of this fable is clear to all:
Strawberries are needed by everyone!
But, to enjoy them fully –
the sheet alone is not enough!
