Boys Cry Too

Be kind and gentle, little one
Who said that boys don't cry?
Of course you can beat others for fun
But do you yourself understand why?

So who said they don't, alas!
They do, hidden in their rooms
Or in closets made of glass
Like in their mother's wombs

Boys shouldn't feel shame for their tears
Nor should be killed (for) that they too much feel
Treated like wrecked machine gears
Forced to never properly heal

Don't be afraid of being a person
And not a stone which out of loneliness grows
Trying to look tough in its own dispersion
Maybe it cries too when no one's watching, who knows

Lust is not the stronger attachment, I add
You can be in love “like a girl”, if you say
Anyways it isn't that bad
To be a girl or to be gay

You may grow your hair long, paint your nails
Wear dresses and skirts
We can all be princesses together
Or electromagno queens dancing in Hertz

Let's run through the town like crazy
And laugh like witches all night
If you want, I'll stick in your curls a daisy
Don't ask me, you always look alright

The strongest trees bend in the wind
Your power is in exposing your weakness
We all from birth have sinned
So just embrace your uniqueness

Bare not your teeth but your soul
I bet it's terrible to be afraid of boys just like you
So raise up, young foal
And never stop those things that your heart says to do

Boys have souls, hearts too
They are made of flesh, not velvet and steel
Don't just wash your spirit down the loo
You can find a girl or boy to love you, still

Boys can cry all day if they want
Comfort or just let them be
Boys who can feel, cannot be wrong
Boys can be happy or sad but free
