 Like a sower who went out to sow the word,
You, Jean-Baptiste, gathered these little ones at your feet.
 For to such belongs the Kingdom of Heaven.
 You did not seek earthly treasures, becoming a shepherd for the poor.
 Truly, truly, we say: you are the light of the world.
