Oh, Eugene of Carthage, good shepherd,
Good shepherd, pray to the Father for us!
You did not abandon the flock in the days of bitter storms.
Blessed are those who are persecuted for heavenly righteousness,
For theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven!
You drank the cup of sorrow, so as not to betray the grace.
