Prayer by John Bridlington
Look upon My servant John of Bridlington, who found rest in Me.
Truly I tell you: whoever wants to be first, must be last of all.
Heavenly Father, sanctify Your humble ones!
As John sought not the crowns of the earth, but Your Kingdom,
So you too, sheep of My flock, carry your cross with joy.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Припев
Thy will be done, Father, on earth as it is in heaven!
Through the silence of the heart, through the prayer of faithful John,
Pour out Your Spirit upon the thirsty,
So that we may all become one in Me, as I am one in You.
Truly I say to you: whoever gives a drink to the thirsty, gives a drink to Me.
John was a good shepherd to his brothers,
In his hands the bread of faith multiplied and wounds were healed.
Love one another, as I have loved you!
Припев
Thy will be done, Father, on earth as it is in heaven!
Through the silence of the heart, through the prayer of faithful John,
Pour out Your Spirit upon the thirsty,
So that we may all become one in Me, as I am one in You.
I am the Vine, and you are the branches.
Abide in Me, and you will bear much fruit!
As My grace descended upon the cloister of Bridlington,
So let My Light now pierce your darkness!
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you.
Not as the world gives do I give to you.
Pray in spirit and in truth.
Amen. Amen.
