God protect me

My Father, who art in heaven,
I bow my heart before You.


When darkness gathers and wolves prowl near the flock,
I do not seek a sword, but I seek Your shelter.
Cover me, as a bird gathers her chicks under her wings.
Cleanse my mind from fear, for fear is not of You.


God, protect me from the evil one!

Protect not only the flesh, but the immortal soul.


The flesh is weak, but the spirit reaches for the Light.
If this cup cannot pass from me,
