Why do you choose to torture me again?
Why all these taunts, why do you cast a blame?
Do you not know the weight of all the pain,
To guard this love, to keep alive the flame?
We are like riverbanks — so close, yet far apart,
Life split our world, and severed us in two.
A distance grows within a frozen heart,
Amidst the ice that stands 'tween me and you...
You've lost your faith, your dreams have gone to dust.
Your smirk’s a shield, your words — a sword of steel.
Two shores of frost, where we have lost our trust...
Oh, give us strength, dear God, so we can heal!
The stream of love is frozen. Under ice,
The hopes for spring and home pay heavy price.

Зачем опять ты мучаешь меня?
К чему твои усмешки и упрёки?
А знаешь ли, как трудно жить, храня
Любовь к тебе? Я знаю – мы далёки
И близки, как два берега реки;
Нас разлучила жизнь на половины.
И как же мы с тобою далеки.
И холодно, и между нами льдины…
Ты потеряла веру и мечты.
Усмешки – щит, упрёки – меч, и всё же….
Два берега у холода черты...
И дай нам силы не погибнуть, Боже!
Река любви замёрзла. Подо льдом
Надежды на весну и общий дом.
