The River s Bend

I'm drifting down river in my old boat,
The water is kissing the side with a sigh.
Maybe to you, or from you I float,
The candle of hope in my soul's burning high.
The flow of the river just carries me on,
I don't know the way, but it's destiny's hand.
The shore in the mist calls to me before dawn,
Where all of this struggle will come to an end.

And the river runs, knowing no walls,
Washing away the sad gaze and the falls.
We're seeking a dock on this infinite way,
To find one another at the end of the day.

Perhaps you are drifting right now just like me,
Not knowing our meeting is closer than near.
That heaven decided what's destined to be,
And river will turn all transparent and clear.
Just round the corner, beyond the sharp bend,
Where willows are bowing to water so low,
Our earthly worries will come to an end,
And to your home harbor I'll finally go.

And after that moment — just we two alone,
No step to the past, not a day spent apart.
Into the quietest harbor we're gone,
To fulfill every dream that we kept in our heart.
