Golden sun,
the waves are humming to the shore -
in the place
where we had met once, years before.
But the tide
is slowly sinking in the sand.
All is gone,
and now I'm just a lonely man.

Deep blue sea,
it looks the same as back then, too.
But for me,
you're someone that I never knew.
With a sigh,
I watch the water roll away.
All is gone,
and seagulls cry in shades of grey.

It still hurts,
though many years have passed us by,
since your love
has left me here to wonder why.
And the wave
comes crashing like a heavy breath,
catching me,
just like a ghost of what is left.

I was not
the only one you're dreaming of.
You walked out,
and took away your summer love.
You are gone,
