One sunny morning, a little boy named Henry wandered too far into the forest while chasing butterflies. He looked around, but he couldn’t see his house anymore. Henry felt scared and sat down by the Forest Lake, wiping his eyes.
Suddenly, he noticed a beautiful flower glowing softly nearby. It was Narcissus, the magic flower that shone with a gentle light.
- Why are you sad, little boy? - Narcissus asked in a kind voice.
Henry looked up.
- I’m lost, - he said. - I can’t find my way home. I want to go back to Mommy and Daddy…
Narcissus smiled.
- Don’t worry, Henry. The Forest Mirror can help us!
He turned to the lake, which was as still as a mirror.
- Oh, wise Forest Mirror, - Narcissus said, - please show Henry the way home!
The lake sparkled with tiny lights, and a glowing path appeared on the water - like a golden ribbon leading through the trees.
- Look! - Narcissus said. - Follow that light, and it will take you straight home!
Henry’s eyes grew wide with wonder.
- Wow! - he said.
He jumped up and ran along the path, following the golden light. The trees seemed to wave goodbye, and the birds sang a happy song.
Soon, Henry saw his house! His parents were waiting outside, looking worried. When they saw him, they ran to hug him.
Henry turned back to the forest and waved.
- Thank you, Narcissus! - he shouted.
Back at the lake, Narcissus felt very happy. He knew his magic wasn’t just for shining - it was for helping friends!
From that day on, whenever someone felt lost or sad, they came to the Forest Lake. If they had a kind heart, the mirror showed them what they needed: a path home, a lost toy, or just a smile to make them feel better.
Once, an old man came to the lake. He looked tired and a little bit sad.
- I wish I were young again, - he sighed.
Narcissus leaned close and whispered, - You don’t need to be young to do wonderful things. Look in the mirror - you’re wise and strong, and you can help others. That’s magic too!
The old man smiled.
- You’re right! - he said.
He felt happier and walked away, humming a tune.
So the Forest Lake and Narcissus kept helping everyone. They taught all who came:
- Be brave, be kind, and listen to your heart. Your own magic is inside you!
And if you ever walk near the Forest Lake on a moonlit night, you might see the soft glow of Narcissus and hear a gentle whisper:
And the Forest Mirror will always be your faithful guardian - watching over you with light, goodness, unwavering faith, bright hope, endless love, and the magic of true wonder.
