Still cold and white are fields of snow,
But springtime waters now make noise,
Awaken sleepy shores and glow.
They rush and holler, and rejoice.
With pride, sweet loud news they bring,
“The spring is here, the spring is here,
We’re jolly couriers of young spring
We spread this message far and near.”
The spring is here, the spring is here,
With crowds behind it today:
A bright and round dance, in cheer,
Of warm and quiet days of May.
