The plain put the wet side to rays

It seems to be the last warm clear day.
It seems the March has wasted all sunlight,
not leaving one for April and the plain
put the wet side to rays to dry it up.

Black glossy rooks card the grass side with claws
as if they want to put in order mess,
but their efforts don't give any score:
the past year grass blades are glued up with sand.

Exempt from snow wide flood-lands start to breath.
And water's rushing down the near slope.
The flow has gnawed the ground at the bridge,
cutting for weeks the shortest way to home.
