...this testifies to the presence of memory and consciousness. He dances very funnily. He especially loves to climb onto something and stomp around there. He puts block on top of block, sometimes says "dai" (give), but it's unclear if it's meaningful or not. Now he is sick again, as he caught it from Boris. He walks well, but there are no more [new] teeth.
Dec 31, 1981. There are 15 minutes left until the end of the year. Zhenka and I are alone together and it's very cozy here. A small, fluffy Christmas tree is lit. Fleetingness, fleetingness... But, in general, 1981 was rich with quite good events for us. We changed apartments, bought a car, got a plot of land. And most importantly, our Ponka has grown.
Observations
Life Milestones: 1981 was clearly a "big" year—moving, a car, and land all in one go is a significant list of achievements!
The Nickname: "Ponka" appears to be a sweet, diminutive nickname used for the child at the time.
New Year's Eve: The image of the "small fluffy tree" and the quiet moment just 15 minutes before midnight captures a very specific, peaceful atmosphere.
