Self-represented Model
So, check out this picture. Most people probably think, “Oh, she just went out and took a spontaneous photo!”. Nope, my dears. There was a whole lot of work before and after that. Do you see the wind in this picture? Well, it was really windy, like knock-you-over windy. But even the wind takes little breaks, haha. So, first, we found the perfect spot, figured out all the cool angles. Then, we tackled the look. And this is where I got lucky at the shop. While we were picking out some outfits, we got chatting, and they gave me a whopping 25% off this jacket! It was a super good deal, price-wise. They decided they wanted to use this exact shot for a big banner to hang in the window of the children's clothing store. They’re also putting up posters around town and little business cards to hand out. And honestly, I think that’s pretty neat for just one picture. The banner itself says, "Brave the Elements in Style". Pretty catchy, huh? And yeah! If the clothes are perfect, this picture is like, a total anti-advertisement for hairspray. As you can see, it totally lost the battle against the elements, haha.
The real fun kicked off the very next day, right after they hung that ad in the window. My walk to school was, like, totally epic. All these older kids were honking at me, just to say hi, and some even offered me a ride! Inside the classroom, it was wild – suddenly everyone wanted to sit with me. But I put a stop to that madness pretty quick. I told them, "Hey guys, I love you all, but let's not mess with the way things are supposed to be". Some of those starry-eyed admirers are still hitting me up with messages, and I write back to a few. But, you know, it's funny. Instead of thinking about how to upgrade my own neural network, I'm spending hours listening to which baseball team is gonna make it to which league, looking at all these little pins and baseballs signed by people I’ve never even heard of.
It's crazy how much they're into it! They know every player's stats, who's got a good batting average, and which teams are rivals. They talk about stuff like "walks" and "home runs" like it's the most important thing in the world. They even have these crazy intricate ways of predicting who's gonna win the World Series, analyzing past games and player performance. It’s like a whole language I’m trying to decipher. Honestly, I think I've dreamt of exactly this my whole life, lol.
So, yeah, that’s pretty much what an self-represented model is all about. And to wrap things up, I wanted to share some quotes from that article. It said, "She often acts as an ambassador for local brands, promoting high-quality and stylish clothing for children and teens through her social media. Stefania positions herself as an independent model, which allows her to choose projects that best align with her own vision and style. The Telegram channel stefanias_world regularly features updates: behind-the-scenes from photoshoots, personal reflections, and new photoshoots. This is her primary platform for interacting with her audience". I pretty much agree with all of that. And, oh yeah – you know, after we finish shooting, we spend hours editing the stuff too... That's how it goes.
