Я человек широких обозрений,
Но узких целей - выше плотстрастей!
Я озираю землю, ведь я гений,
Но я хочу быть более - святей!

Я научу людей исходу так же,
Как в дневниках раскрылся Иоанн,
А как же можно научить иначе,
Когда ты сам в грехе не побывал

Хотя бы в легкой стадии - из мыслей,
Но в слово, в дело не переводя -
Им кажешь триумфальность Евхаристий,
закат бесовский и триумф добра!

I am the writer of very broad views,
But narrow goals - above carnal passions!
I survey the earth, for I'm genius,
But I want to be more than that and hallow!

I will teach people to proceed as John
revealed repentance in his diaries,
And how can one teach otherwise, if he
Himself has never been in any sin?

At least in a mild form of it — in thought,
But not in word or deed - without fullness —
You show to them the triumph of Eucharist,
the fall of demon and the triumph of goodness!
