For we are not children

We’re not like children – anger, zeal we feel,
I long for God’s strength to meet life’s fiercest trial.
To fight death and evil, face each dark assail,
So faith in the Saviour keeps us strong and hale.

Sometimes hardship comes, and guilt’s heavy weight,
Then we truly know what God’s holy fear means straight.
We cry: “Save us, King and Lord, we plead!
You’re worthy of all glory – our God, our mighty Head!”

Only faith in Christ, who died upon the Cross, can save,
The Bible shows the Cross – our hope, our saving grace.
Our faith will guide us home, to Creator’s sacred place,
Where holiness abides, and endless joy we taste!
