Sunbeam shines now, lights the way,
God our Savior – trust and pray!
Partings try to trap us here,
But Christ’s true word will cast out fear.
Prophets’ help for those alone,
Where Christ once walked the waves, well shown.
A river’s full when source is high,
Flowing down from heaven’s eye.
Lord now speaks His word so clear,
Mercy, wisdom draw us near.
Hard at times to choose what’s right –
Call on God, lift up your light.
Speak love from your heart, it’s true,
Keep your conscience – stay with you.
Let this bright day shine for all,
God’s servant chases night, that’s all.
