She was a tenant in the spider web
Caught up in lies, tangled in thread
She thought the spider was evil, so she obeyed the rules
Clearly, the victim....helpless, little fool.
Time passed, the prison she knitted grew bigger
One old regret pulled her deeper and deeper
Years went by, she served her time
Yes, eventually she solved the crime.
She thought the spider was evil, so she obeyed the rules
Until one day, she realised she was the fool!
SPIDER IS I, AND I AM THE FLY
CAUGHT UP IN MY OWN WEB, EVERY LIE WAS MINE.
Now, spinning her web, she still shakes and she aches
But learning she's the spider, she owns all her mistakes
She's trying so hard to untangle old knots
To let go of the victim tenant caught in her plots.
