Once in my soft and tender childhood
I heard a story from somewhere far away
There is a place so gentle and so magic
Where people smile and no one feels the pain

And if you step onto that hidden island
And in that moment make a wish inside
Then everything your soul and heart are dreaming
Will come to life — just feel it deep and bright

Tall palms are holding up the blue sky above you
The ocean whispers poems to your heart
And if you hold a seashell to your hearing
It tells you where true love will start

Bali… Bali… calling me home,
Bali… Bali… love in my soul,
God Barun leads me into the sea,
This is my world, this is me.

I kept on travelling, spinning miles around me
Through many cities, countries far and wide
And then one day my feet so softly touched it…
That magic land from dreams I had inside

I saw at once the fearless God Barun there
He waved his hand and called me to the tide
He tested me — if I had felt the fear then
That shell of love I’d never have inside

Bali… Bali… calling me home,
Bali… Bali… love in my soul,
God Barun leads me into the sea,
This is my world, this is me.

My soul fell in love, my eyes and heart together
My feet fell in love with burning golden sand
I fell so deep there’s no way to escape it…
I fly again to where my God will stand

Again and again the waves are softly touching
Again and again they whisper “don’t go away”
And time after time I promise I’ll be coming
Believing my story is still on its way...
