An answer may come
From things unknown.
It may come in a dream,
Or not, it seems.
It may fall on your shoulder,
A wise hand’s gift.
May hold you back from the edge,
Or leave you adrift.
The answer itself
May shift and change,
Even if to everyone
It seems all wrong and strange.
A pancake may not go wrong at all,
Or the marksman’s eye
Might suddenly fail
To justify the why.
