A Photo Album

I'm glad I've found this album,
    finally...
Among some papers,
 newspapers with my stories,
   among the pages fallen from my dictionaries

This album was the first one
   in my life...
        My childhood...
At ten
 I was a music star already,
   a pianist
And then -
     my Youth Adventure Club -
  great trips and hikes and mountain skiing

This album...

  In this album
 everyone's alive -
   me and my mother,
my dad
  and my grandparents...

All are alive and well
  and happy...

I want this album
   in a deep-blue velvet cover
and with a picture of St. Peters
   like a brooch...
I want this album
  to stay with me
    until the very end...

And looking at the photos in it
   I start imagining
a film about my life...
