Place called Home

She never knew a gentle human hand,
The streets had shaped her fragile, silent soul.
With aching wounds no one could understand,
She wandered where the restless cold winds blow.

Through markets, stations, alleys dark and wide,
She searched for scraps, a corner warm and small.
Her hopeful eyes looked softly from the side -
But no one seemed to see her there at all.

Still somewhere deep inside her weary heart
A tiny spark refused to fade away…

She kept running, running through the night,
Chasing just a little light.
Dreaming someone, somewhere might
Call her name and hold her tight.

She kept hoping, day by day,
Someone kind would say:
“You’re not alone anymore -
You have finally found your home.”

The people hurried past her in the rain,
Their busy lives too loud to hear her plea.
Behind warm windows laughter would remain,
While she walked through the cold silently.

They never saw the story in her eyes,
Or how she longed for love she once had known.
A lonely world beneath indifferent skies
Can make a beating heart feel all alone.

But every step she took beneath the stars
Still carried hope she could not leave behind…

She kept running, running through the night,
Chasing just a little light.
Dreaming someone, somewhere might
Call her name and hold her tight.

She kept hoping, day by day,
Someone kind would say:
“You’re not alone anymore -
You have finally found your home.”

And then one evening, quiet and slow,
A gentle voice called through the rain…
A hand reached down, soft and warm -
And everything would change.

Now she’s running, running through the light,
Her eyes shining warm and bright.
Someone finally saw her soul
And made her broken story whole.

No more wandering, no more fear -
Someone whispers in her ear:
“You’re not alone anymore -
You have finally found your home.”

Curled beside a quiet door,
Dreaming like she did before…
But now she sleeps
And dreams of love
Inside a place
She calls her home.
