Albert
A funny old man with a halo of silver hair.
So absent-minded, yet warm in his dignity —
He gave to physics more than words can bear.
His system of values was simple and clear:
Truth, kindness, and beauty were always near.
What lies in the Unified Field — who can say?
What is relativity teaching us all?
Some of us studied these things back at school,
Some tried at the college hall.
No television ever filled his room,
He chose violin and the wisdom of books.
He studied the quantum, the fabric of gloom,
And reached philosophical heights in his looks.
His system of values was simple and clear:
Truth, kindness, and beauty were always near.
What lies in the Unified Field — who can say?
What is relativity trying to show?
Should we dive into quantum equations as well?
He mastered the math we don’t know.
He gave up the passport of Germany’s land,
And settled in Princeton to live out his days.
He called fascism madness, a criminal hand —
Forgiving no camps, no pogroms, no blaze.
His system of values was simple and clear:
Truth, kindness, and beauty were always near.
What else filled the life of this mind so awake?
A dog and a cat by his side.
Some evening reading, some letters to write,
And bushes to trim outside.
He spoke for a future where atoms bring peace,
Though often his warning was lost in the noise.
A Nobel Prize laureate — brilliance without cease,
Tongue mocking the games of political ploys.
His system of values was simple and clear:
Truth, kindness, and beauty were always near.
To feel the fabric of space on his skin,
To joke in his letters with friends…
All geniuses share one important thing —
They live among fools till the end.
