City hums a monotone drone
Sirens wail, a rhythmic moan
Headphones on, I try to fight
This symphony of endless night
Lost in faces, blurred and fast
Another moment slipping past
A million voices scream and shout
But all I hear is doubt, doubt, doubt.

Lost in the noise, a silent plea
For just a moment of clarity
Drowning in the static grey
Searching for a brighter day
Lost in the noise, I can't break free
This chaotic symphony
Is suffocating, holding me down
Lost in the noise, without a sound.

The billboards flash, a neon glare
Promises hanging in the air
Everyone's got something to sell
But I'm just caught in this living hell
Of constant pushing, constant pull
Lost in the current, down the hull
Of a ship that's sailing nowhere fast
Just another soul built to last.

Lost in the noise, a silent plea
For just a moment of clarity
Drowning in the static grey
Searching for a brighter day

This chaotic symphony
Is suffocating, holding me down

Is there an echo in this place?
A whisper of a friendly face?
A memory of a quieter time

Maybe I can find my way
