The stars are flickering fewer in the night?
They’re hidden by the smoke and urban pities,
By dust and by the army of blind light.
But once you break away from street-bound capture,

The stars awake in myriads of rapture,
Revealing all the cosmos' majesty.
It’s like our life: behind the empty pleasure,
Behind the vanity and tinsel’s glare,
True beauty hides, a simple, quiet treasure,
Unseen behind the veil that’s always there.
To see it clearly, let your soul be waking,
And cast away the dress of false disguise.
In nightly silence, keep your heart from aching —
And stars will burn much brighter in your eyes.
