Ancient Blood
A single window... with no reflection..."
The wind, a foolish fiend, began to roar,
And drenched dreaming town with downpour.
The moon escaped from clouds old and worn,
To hide behind the silver glass, forlorn.
And then he fled, erased without a trace,
Beyond the borders of that ancient place.
He left behind the city's occult wall,
And stole away the summer, warmth and all.
Ancient blood,
A blast of fire.
The foe now weaves
A magic wire.
A thousand eyes
In darkest cave,
In hollow silence
Stare and crave.
Ancient blood,
A blast of fire.
The foe now weaves
A magic wire.
They'll meet once more
In final fight —
The Dark shall fall
To rising light.
I walk the void where stolen faces weep,
In silent vaults where shadow-monsters sleep.
They’ve locked your spirits in a glass of ice,
But every shadow has its bloody price.
I’ll break the frames, I’ll shatter every cage,
With ancient hunger and a holy rage.
I’ll force the glass to give you back your soul,
And make the shattered reflection finally whole.
Ancient blood,
A blast of fire.
The foe now weaves
A magic wire.
A thousand eyes
In darkest cave,
In hollow silence
Stare and crave.
Ancient blood,
A blast of fire.
The foe now weaves
A magic wire.
They'll meet once more
In final fight —
The Dark shall fall
To rising light.
