I Let You Ruin Me in the Best Way

A cycle of poems «Your Kiss Tasted Like a Late-Night Regret»

Falling like thunder, crashing through the night,
You came like a wildfire, burning wrong to right.
I stood on the edge, lost in your sway,
I let you ruin me in the best way.

I tried to hold my ground, but you pulled me deep,
Into the chaos where broken hearts we keep.

I let you ruin me in the best way,
Torn apart and whole again, come what may.
Every scar you left, every tear I cried,
Built a fire inside me I can’t hide.

You shattered my armor, broke down every wall,
Turned my quiet silence into a reckless call.
I was afraid to fall, but you made me believe,
That sometimes losing everything is how we breathe.

I tried to hold my ground, but you pulled me deep,
Into the chaos where broken hearts we keep.

I let you ruin me in the best way,
Torn apart and whole again, come what may.
Every scar you left, every tear I cried,
Built a fire inside me I can’t hide.

Now I wear the pieces like a badge of pride,
A beautiful mess I no longer hide.
You took my shattered soul and made it sing,
In the ruins of love, I found everything.

Maybe we’re broken, maybe we’re lost,
But in this wreckage, I count no cost.
You ruined me, yes, but you made me see-
Sometimes the fall is where we’re meant to be.

Falling like thunder, crashing through the night,
I let you ruin me, and it feels so right.
In every broken moment, I found my way-
I let you ruin me in the best way.
