This winter is as snowy as in childhood.
It's glazed pine trees by morning long bad frosts.
Dark branches are covered with snow heavy armor.
The weight's bent them to bluish sparkling earth.
And February colors clear snowdrifts
in different ways, pouring bright paints from skies.
The artist does not spare them for profit.
The snowy palette looks exactly bright.
Deep orange-blue, beige-champagne and pink-purple -
light colors splashed to the horizon line.
The artist mixes them on snowy clothing.
New colors strike experienced minds.
Who does proclaim, that winter is too dully?
Just look at this opalescent landscape!
This magic light gave inspiration one day
to Levitan to reproduce its paints.
