  The protagonist continues to run a certain «office», while the spirit of a comatose employee, Evgeny Vasilyevich (who looks like the missing — for unknown reasons — top boss), still dwells within him. The plot revolves around paradoxical, grotesque situations: Cactus Vasilich expands his sphere of influence — now he is involved not only in the internal affairs of the office, but also in international matters; he secretly oversees the delivery sector in Moscow; he ponders the «transit of power» within the office and a possible move to the position of Chairman of the Cactus Greenhouse at the Apothecary Garden.
