Sleepy Mother Earth

Sleepy Mother Earth, weary from winter’s art,
Covers herself with sparkling snow, icy lakes and rivers in part.
The winds hum their song on crimson berries bright,
And rivers hide their springtime beauty beneath ice’s light.

Winter’s queen has come to reign,
Dazzling all with her icy train.
The earth finds peace anew,
Transformed by winter’s white hue.

Under snow, tall trees stand so grand,
Ready in their boughs to take your hand.
Winter’s beauty, dazzling with its grace,
This makes me want to return to this place.

Winter’s queen has come to reign,
Dazzling all with her icy train.
The earth finds peace anew,
Transformed by winter’s white hue.

Frost glitters like fragile glass,
Bright and clear, the days amass.
The world shines again, so pure and bright,
Forget the gloom of autumn’s light.

Winter’s queen has come to reign,
Dazzling all with her icy train.
The earth finds peace anew,
Transformed by winter’s white hue.
