Stevie doesn t Wonder

Stevie doesn’t wonder -
he’s living his one true dream.
He rose through the dusk and thunder
to chase a way distant gleam.

He marked it among the billions,
his star on the Milky Way,
and whispered in soft resilience
each night right before he’d pray:

“I’ll reach for the sun one day,
I’ll never be scared of the dark.
The cosmos will show me the way,
I’ll follow my hero’s spark.”

But one day, the light grew dimmer -
the world lost its glow and hue,
yet deep in his heart, a shimmer
of faith and of starlight grew.

He dreamed of the far horizon,
of mists that hum through the space,
believing that eyes may darken,
but dreams will not lose their place.

He knew, above roofs and silence,
his faithful star still had burned,
and softly, through night’s defiance,
his heart to the sky returned.

He built no more ships or towers,
but knew, beyond heaven’s crest,
the soul that endures the hours
is guided - and finds its rest.
