Christmas praying
It plays on icicles with airy sticks.
The new unusual Christmas song revives all
and lindens ring with their ball-shape seeds,
lazy accompanying to splashing water.
Short dark-beige ribbons on thin chocolate branches
look so magnificent after last evenings snowfalls,
as someone tender slightly powdered them.
This sudden thaw fuses the white gleaming cover
with countless ribbons and this heavy mass
is bending down semitransparent crowns
of the old lindens. A high sudden cry
of the church belfry calls for Christmas praying
and the dull sky throws icy silver tears
with inconsolable and grieving parents,
who lost in wars forever lovely kids.
