The dancing day

It was just another boring day at the cafe. The girl sat at the table, drawing like usual, watching all the annoying people walk around - children running, adults drinking, talking to one another. She was getting bored. As she wanted her partner's attention, she headed into the hallway to his door, but sure enough he was busy. So, she decided to have some fun by herself. Sneaking onto the stage, she turned to look at the hall. Her face lit up as she struck a pose, grabbed the microphone and, on impulse, began her impromptu performance. Not knowing if it was planned at all, guests stared at the girl who seemed to have completely got caught up in a bliss, dancing gracefully and singing in such a clear, melodious voice in tune with the music playing that made many hold their breath, giving her an ovation. She fantasized that the guests in front of her were dead, everything was painted red and set on fire. The man soon heard all the noise, and finally went out to see what's going on. Upon seeing the girl on stage, he was shocked, no less than enraged - going up to get her, but still not fully there, she seized his hand instead, to pull him into dancing with her. She felt perfectly in seventh heaven. People burst into whispers and giggles as they applauded louder, making him feel increasingly mad and embarrassed. Rumors had circled around town for two years at the point about something going on between the two, despite their age gap, and those rumors were disgraceful for the man especially. Not to mention they were never true, and could damage his already unstable reputation. Surely, he didn't want anything to fuel those rumors further. Seemingly on edge, he grabbed her arm roughly and dragged her off the stage after him, followed by a clamor of applauds as people gossiped, pointing in their direction. As they entered his office, the girl was ready to be reprimanded. But to her surprise, when the man turned to her, his face was alight with a rush of enthusiasm. She didn't understand at first, but he told her that her 'performance' was perfect, inspiring even. His eyes were shining with a new idea. And he said he's now set to make something utterly great.
