The Serpent s Parable

Once, I came to know what love is.
My soul was burning like a candle flame.
I longed to yield to passion once again,
The one the serpent offered to my name.
"Go on and eat the forbidden fruit of desire,
And let the maiden’s passion brightly wake...
Let love within her never lose its fire,
Just like a candle burning for her sake."
Chorus:
The candles... they burn... they burn... in play...
The tongues of flame touched softly in the air,
Uniting into love, vast and beyond compare.
The serpent told its tale, then slipped away.
The candles... they burn... they burn... in play...
The tongues of flame touched softly in the air,
Uniting into love, vast and beyond compare.
The serpent told its tale, then slipped away... into the silence.
