Equation with Infinite Solutions

John Lennon said:
“Life is what happens
while you’re busy making other plans.”

I dreamed, believed, loved.
“It will be. Everything - and that’s final,” she said.

I built castles of hope and dreams,
but plans collapsed, ending all in tears.

Life, like wind, sweeps everything in its path,
bringing sorrow to the heart, refusing to let it pass.

I thought I knew - my path was clear,
but fate, the artist: one stroke, and everything changed.

Variables shift like leaves caught in the wind,
and life’s equation has no ready answer.

So often we try to write its script,
yet it leaves so little room for what we desire.

Our lives are fragile crystal -
once hope is shattered, it cannot be mended.

I tried, but in vain.
The shards lie scattered, beyond repair.

Then I decided: no more planning.
There is only life - lived with dignity.

Let it be as it is. I accept what’s given.
My heart in shards, yet I will live and love.

Life is an equation with two variables.
And like any linear equation,
it holds infinite solutions.
