Merry Christmas!

Beneath the glow of lanterns bright,
The snowflakes whirl in wild delight
The first New Year’s snow softly falls,
A hush upon the earth it calls

The sacred spirit, pure and white,
Descends from heaven, bathed in light
The children laugh, their joy untamed -
I dive into the snow, unnamed

We deck the halls with love and cheer,
While snow adorns the yard so clear
We light the stars, the candle’s flame,
And set the Christmas tree aflame

The table groans with feasts so sweet,
As loved ones gather, hearts replete
«Come close» we cry, «both young and old,
And share this night, so brave and bold»

The final feast, the year’s last song,
Yet none more cherished, deep and strong
As family circles, hand in hand,
We wait the New Year’s bright command

Around the table, warm and tight,
Our closest circle, hearts alight
With gifts and laughter, love untold,
A haven from the winter’s cold

No moment here is dull or drear,
Though time together’s far too rare
Yet bound by love, we vow to stay,
And meet more oft-come what may
