Nighthunt
In the hazy moors where serpents hide
And man-eating tree digests its prey, -
There will be the place to start my way.
And blood flows when talons cling,
And my hunger grows, and my hunt begins.
For I rule supreme in this midnight domain,
Where fog is an ally in my cruel game.
As if one of shadows that move all around
I strike out of nowhere without any sound.
Moonlight can't find me -
Forever in shadows I have to dwell.
Creature beside me...
It flees in despair, I feel now its smell,
That makes me so mad! It's turning its back...
There's no blunder with my talons!
Blood commands me:
One victim is not enough for content.
Night defends me
For dark is my friend that's guiding my hand
And hiding me well until I attack.
There's no mercy for my victims!
For I rule supreme in this midnight domain,
Where fog is an ally in my cruel game.
As if one of shadows that move all around
I strike out of nowhere without any sound.
The chase is over for today
May vultures finish the remains.
But from the last time there's some tension in the air.
Abnormal tracks I've found. It seemed they led to nowhere.
And unfamiliar smell confused me - what's that been?
How did it happen that it might remain unseen?
Few days have passed but still I'm not completely sure
That it was not some kind of artful deadly lure.
But now it doesn't really matter. Anyway
I know that something's getting closer day by day.
There's someone... something... also hunting... me!
