Morning

The morning light filters softly through my bedroom curtains, announcing another typical school day. It's Saturday, but here I am, already wide awake. My mind races ahead, thinking about the routine that's about to unfold. Getting dressed takes longer than usual; there's no rush since classes won't start for hours. Breakfast becomes an event—not just scrambled eggs and toast, but also moments shared with family members chatting casually over coffee cups.

School itself seems oddly calmer compared to weekdays. Teachers move slower, students linger longer between periods. The hallways echo differently, quieter footsteps resonate clearer. Recess feels stretched out, giving extra minutes to explore corners usually missed amidst the bustling chaos of weekday life.

Inside classrooms, familiar faces greet me warmly. We sit side-by-side working through problems, helping each other solve puzzles. Math equations transform into games, spelling tests morph into competitions. Art projects burst forth with creativity, filling blank pages with vibrant colors and imaginative designs.

By late afternoon, fatigue begins to set in. Muscles ache from sitting too long, eyelids droop heavily. Still, there's satisfaction knowing I've completed another task successfully. As I walk home, surrounded by friends chattering excitedly about weekend plans, I can't help feeling grateful for these small victories earned throughout the day.

Tomorrow is Sunday—our day off. No alarms needed, no strict timelines imposed. Freedom stretches ahead invitingly, promising relaxation and rejuvenation. Today was simply...ordinary. But sometimes, ordinary holds profound beauty when viewed through clear eyes and open hearts.

Good morning!

Stephie
