Born unique
Descending slowly to the quiet ground.
They swirl in gentle waltz, serene and tender,
And weave a waking fairytale around.
They settle softly on the earth’s white blanket,
A downy quilt embracing field and hill.
They make more room for others yet to land here,
Until the world grows silent, white, and still.
Within each gust a whispered secret lingers,
A quiet message carried from the sky.
It drifts like light that slips between my fingers,
Revealing realms no earthly bounds deny.
Their snowy dance awakens admiration,
It warms the soul with quiet, tender light.
A simple gift of nature’s inspiration,
That comforts us at home on winter nights.
A perfect snowflake melts upon my palm —
A fleeting moment, delicate and brief.
It shimmers like a silver;woven calm,
A fragile, intricate celestial leaf.
Such delicate creation from the heavens,
It touched my gaze for just a breath of time.
Its pattern held a thousand hidden lessons,
A subtle structure shaped in perfect line.
And people too — each life is born unique,
No mirrored faces in humanity.
This uniqueness is the mark that we all seek —
The quiet sign of one Creator’s artistry.
